Klang Valley
City Nature Challenge 2022Klang Valley City Nature Challenge (KVCNC) is a crowdsourcing citizen science project about urban biodiversity in Klang Valley. Start documenting right away. This project is organized as part of the global City Nature Challenge where cities around the world will be competing to see who can make the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people. This year we are collaborating with Universiti Malaya Sustainability and Development Centre (UM SDC) in hosting this event.

Taking pictures of plants and animals: 29 April - 2 May
Indoor or outdoor, nature is everywhere! Grab your camera or phone and start taking as many pictures of plants and animals around you. Use the iNaturalist app/website to upload your observations. Invite your family and friends to join you too 😉
Identifying what you found in iNaturalist: 3 May - 8 May
Use guide books, ask a friend or fellow citizen scientists in iNaturalist… time to start identifying the species name of the plants and animals you/others found so that our species count will be higher this year! Could be a fun Raya break activity too 😉
